Mission of the Conference

Create a working platform for discussion of actual issues of development of the St. Petersburg and Leningrad region transport system; unite representatives of federal authorities, governments of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region, professional associations and leading companies

Conference goals

The program of the Conference is focused on the discussion of a wide range of issues regarding the development of the St. Petersburg and Leningrad region transport system. At the same time, the annual growth of the participants quantity and representativeness of the event give ground for discussing themes beyond the regional issues.

This year, the main theme of the plenary session will be strategic planning in the sphere of transport. The meeting will begin with a speech of the Minister of Transport the Russian Federation M.Y. Sokolov.

On the plenary session there will be presented the ”Development Strategy of the St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region Transport System for the period up to 2030”.

In 2015 - 2017 Russia chairs in the Barents Euro-Arctic Council (BEAC), and a stand-alone round table will be devoted to BEAC meeting. The theme of the session will be "Logistics conjunction of trade flows of Baltic transport corridors and the Northern Sea Route“.

St. Petersburg is one of the leaders in the realization of PPP projects in the sphere of transport. The conference provides a good opportunity to discuss present-day topic of construction regional toll highways with federal co-financing. With the support of the Graduate School of Management (St. Petersburg State University) and Federal Road Agency as part of the conference program will be held Congress of Regions of the Russian Federation, dedicated to the implementation of regional transport PPP projects.

In addition, the conference will include sessions devoted to the complex territorial development and relevant infrastructure rail projects in the region.
