On September, 3 the Directorate held a meeting with the pre-construction works contractor «Stroyproject».
In Svetogorsk the proposed bicycle path will cross two bridges: a bridge across the river Unterniska and a bridge over the stream Gryazniy. As part of pre-construction works, both bridges were examined in order to check their current condition and create a list of necessary repair works.
In addition, participants of the meeting discussed progress of negotiations with the owners of underground utilities networks on the territory that the bicycle path will pass across, measures for slowing down motor traffic and ensuring safe road crossing by cyclists and pedestrians (speed bumps) as well as a scheme of movement of cyclists through the BCP Svetogorsk.
In the near future, the proposed solutions will be sent for approval to the traffic police.
The Directorate and its contractor strive to create convenient and safe cycling infrastructure with consideration of interests of all road users.
