Creation of an integrated transport model of St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region

Project Description:

Ensuring the integrated and efficient development of the transport system of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, aimed at synchronizing urban planning and transport planning in the territory of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region within the A-120 highway.

Within the framework of the OCTS creation, measures for the development of the MAC, parking space infrastructure, public passenger transport, pedestrian and bicycle traffic, measures for transporting freight transport and terminal and warehouse infrastructure, and development of the maintenance infrastructure for air, water and rail transport will be proposed for the estimated period. It is planned to optimize the route network of passenger public transport for the medium and long term (municipal and related interregional routes).

Project objectives:

  • Improving the quality and efficiency of the St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region transport complex
  • Improving the quality of city planning and decisions including construction and reconstruction of the transport infrastructure
  • Improving the quality and efficiency of both passenger and freight traffic
