The organization of suburban passenger rail service on a section Sertolovo (Leningrad region) - railway station Levashovo - St. Petersburg (Finland Station)

Project Description:

For the organization of a suburban railway connection between Sertolovo, Leningrad Region and the Finland Station in St. Petersburg, it is proposed to use existing railway lines between Sertolovo and the railway station Levashovo, with the subsequent transfer of the railway to the public road. The reconstructed part of the road section is about 7 km. At this section, there are 2 stopping points - in the town of Sertolovo and the village Pesochniy. Approximate travel time from the city of Sertolovo to the railway station Udelnaya - 29 min.

Project objectives:

- to provide reliable transport communications of inhabitants of Sertolovo of Leningrad region with St.-Petersburg, - reduce the load on the road network, - to increase the investment attractiveness of the city of Sertolovo, Leningrad region, - improve the transport accessibility of the FGBU "Research Institute of Oncology. N.N. Petrov "of the Ministry of Health of Russia, located in the village of Pesochny.
